History of Shorthand: Chronological list of shorthand systems
This list of shorthand systems includes mainly English language systems and is admittedly not complete. It has been compiled from various sources and notifications of any errors or omissions will be appreciated. Many shorthand systems were published anonymously and where they cannot be verified they have been omitted.
Any annotations to this list will be welcomed and acknowledged, and may be added to the History of Shorthand annotated list. Links to other shorthand websites are also welcomed.

This list of shorthand systems is admittedly not complete and includes mainly English language systems. It has been compiled from various sources and notifications of any errors or omissions will be welcomed. Many shorthand systems were published anonymously and where they cannot be verified they have been omitted.
